Raspberry Pi のデスクトップを BeOS 風にする

参考にしたサイトは Make Linux look like BeOS から [Xfce4] BeOS-r5-XFCE など。

まずは Window Manager を XFCE4 にする。

Raspberry Pi OS Tips の「GUIをXfceに変更する」を参考に。

パッケージの更新がまだであれば更新して再起動。

sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade -y
sudo reboot

XFCE4 をインストール。

sudo apt install -y xfce4
sudo update-alternatives --config x-session-manager

で「/usr/bin/startxfce4」の番号を選択したあと、再起動。


Window Manager 向けのテーマをインストール。

git clone https://gitlab.com/metsatron/BeOS-r5-XFWM
mv BeOS-r5-XFWM /usr/share/themes/

メニューの Settings → Window Manager を開くと左にテーマ一覧がでるので BeOS-r5-XFWM を選ぶ。

Title Font は Swis721 BT Roman がおすすめらしい。この時点では入っておらず、どこから入手するのがいいかもわからない。

Button Layout は Active に「×」「Title」だけ残し、あとは Hidden へ。


次は GTK-theme を入れる。

mv BeOS-r5-GTK /usr/share/themes/

メニューの Settings → Appearance を起動する。「Style」タブに一覧があるので BeOS-r5-GTK を選ぶ。

Default Font は Swis721 BT Roman がおすすめらしい。この時点では入っておらず、どこから入手するのがいいかもわからない。

Default Monospace Font は Courier 10 Pitch for Powerline がおすすめらしい。

Rendering はよくわからないけれど、記事では Hinging が Full、Sub-pixel order は RGB でフランス国旗のような3分割。


次はアイコンを入れる。

mkdir -p ~/.local/share/icons
mv BeOS-r5-Icons ~/.local/share/icons/

Appearance を起動し直すと、「Icons」タブに BeOS-r5-Icons が出てくるので選ぶ。


次はマウスカーソル。

HaikuHand reHash - Gnome-look.org の「Files (1)」を選びファイルをダウンロードする。

tar vxf ~/Downloads/HaikuHandRe-0.1.tar
mkdir ~/.icons
mv HaikuHandRe ~/.icons

これでメニューの Settings → Mouse and TouchPad を起動し、Theme タブを開くと HaikuHandRe が選べる。


reddit の方ではあとは DockbarX 向けのテーマや dotfile も入れているようだけれど、この辺はまだよくわからない。dotfile はいろいろ一斉に設定してくれそうにもみえるけれど Raspberry Pi は stow が別のディレクトリをみるのかエラーになる。
